Indie Lens Pop-Up is Wednesday

TWIN FALLS — The Magic Valley Arts Council, Idaho Humanities Council and Independent Television Service will host the Indie Lens Pop-Up free screening of "The Providers" at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sligar Auditorium of the Twin Falls Center for the Arts, 195 River Vista Place. Run-time is about 55 minutes.

Historical museum hosts Williams-Brackett

CURRY — Kimberly Williams-Brackett will speak to museum visitors Saturday about her great-great grandfather John D. Nims, founder of the North Side News in 1908. His son Harry was also in the newspaper business. As keepers of the record, these men chronicled births, deaths, failures and successes of the Magic Valley community. Williams-Brackett will discuss how and why she became involved in writing “Keepers of the Record” and will autograph copies.

Hailey offers roof snow load warnings

HAILEY — As of noon Tuesday, the current roof snow load is estimated to be 70.20 pounds per square foot in the vicinity of Hailey. Local building officials measured about 54 pounds per square foot at the old courthouse, 57.5 pounds at Audubon Drive, 57.5 pounds at Lower Board Ranch and 64 pounds at Hulen Meadows.
